2/24/12
Dear Jake,
This Friday with Grammy we spent some time just rocking and talking all about your wonderful christening day! We talked about what a great day it was and how lucky you are to have so many family and friends that wanted to come and celebrate with you!
The day started early to get the community room at the Shipyard all set for the party. The dessert table included a cake with your handsome, smiling face. Father Chris, who married your Mom and Dad was kind enough to return to St. Paul's church in Hingham for your baptism. You were the sixth generation of the Crowley family to be baptized at St. Paul's! Your Godparents, Aunt Jen and Uncle Jack proudly held you as you wore the same baptismal gown that your Mom had worn 31 years ago! Your Dad promised you it would be the last time that they put a dress on you! The ceremony was wonderful and we all collectively prayed that you will always have the grace of God in your life.  I promise we will all be there to help you!
Then we were off to a celebration luncheon at the Shipyard! You loved every moment of it in your white tux, smiling the afternoon away! You really seemed to understand that the party was for you and fought off any idea of sleeping. It was a wonderful afternoon full of happiness with all of the people who love you so much!

Love you,
 Grammy!!

2/17/2012
This was a very busy Friday with Grammy! We spent the day getting ready for Jake's christening which is taking place on Sunday, 2/19. Jake definitely sensed the excitement and was a very good boy as we went shopping for all the last minute food and decorations. We did take some time out for lunch at Pacini's in Norwell. Jake loved it and at one point a customer made the mistake of passing by him without commenting and he yelled enough for the man to stop and say; "Oh hi there"!!
At the end of the day Jake had his first walk down his Grammy and Poppa's street on 34 Simmons Road. Poppa was so proud to show him off to all the neighbors that he put quite a few miles on the stroller!
Stay tuned for news of the big christening day!

Despite being Feb. 9th it was a beautiful warm day so Jake and Grammy decided to go out for a walk and enjoy the sunshine! At only 3 1/2 months he gets bored easily so I propped him up in his carriage for the first time so he could see the neighborhood. As you can see in the picture, he loved it! After a short nap went went to Stars for a little 1st Valentine's date. Jake loves Stars on Hingham Harbor because of all the colored lights and ceiling fans! Most of the people in the restaurant stopped eating and just started at him as he hammed it up for the crowd!

2/3/2012
Jake and I decided to go on a walk today! We couldn't stay out for very long with the cold, brisk wind especially since Jake really has to have his hands free to move around constantly! When we got back inside a couple of rounds of the, "Hooky Pookey", helped to warm us up! This week, Jake started to use his walker and even managed to use his hands to move some of the toys on it! He is so advanced!
