3/23/12
Dear Jake,
This was the first week since you were born that was so busy that I am combining two weeks into one blog! Your Mom went on a business trip and we got to have a sleepover party! Poppa got us a pizza for dinner and you enjoyed your prunes and rice cereal. You showed us how you love playing with your rubber ducky in your bath tub and then we got all cozy in our pajamas. Going right to sleep was Grammy's plan but it was definitely not yours! It was at least two hours after your bedtime when you finally conceded that the party was over and went to sleep.  Your Mom returned safely and scooped you out of your crib as fast as she could get her hands on you!
On our regular Friday visit, your Godfather, Uncle Jack, came over to see you. He read you lots of stories and promised to help you learn how to read. He teaches English so I think you are in really good hands!
Love, Grammy

Dear Jake,
You and I got to see a lot of each other this week. Mom needed some extra help as she started a brand new job! To also add to the excitement, you are going to move to your first house in Hingham! As we took our walk around the Shipyard today, we talked about all the great ways we can decorate your room. Right now, "Make Way For Ducklings", is one of your favorite books so we might try to find something from that story to decorate.

You love your bananas and are looking forward to adding some new fruits this week. You are growing so fast that we put the next size car seat in Grammy's car and you loved it. You are a little guy that loves to be on the go as you can see in the picture!
Love, Grammy!

3/2/12
Dear Jake,
This Friday  was time spent practicing all of your new tricks! You have started to try to roll over. So, as you can see in the picture, Poppa and I were on the rug next to you doing our best rolling while you looked at us in amusement! You were getting the hang of it and can now manage to get half way over. When you land, you look pretty surprised that you are where you are! By the way, the beautiful quilt you were rolling on was handmade by a friend of mine, Diane.
You are starting to eat rice cereal and bananas so we practiced being spoon fed. You weren't very happy with the different taste and texture but you loved it when I fed cookie monster some!
Love, Grammy
